Mais con yelo

Mais con Yelo Recipe is another excellent refreshment that is so popular during the summer season here in the Philippines. The name comes from the Spanish word “Maíz con Hielo“which means “corn with ice.”
This Filipino dessert drink is prepared with shaved ice, corn, milk, and sugar and sometimes topped with a vanilla ice cream
It is one of the variations of Filipino coolers, just like the famous Halo-halo; in fact, you will usually see this sold along the streets. It’s not pricy which can make a great meryenda or an afternoon snack.
Ingredients:
Sweet Corn (canned or Frozen)
Shaved Ice Sweetened Condensed Milk Evaporated Milk White Sugar Keso (Optional) Saging na Saba (Optional)
Corn Flakes (Optional)
Instructions:
Layer the Sweet Corn and the Shaved Ice in a Glass
Add Milk and Sugar, Condensed Milk, and Evaporated Milk (adjust according to taste) and stir with a spoon. Add other ingredients like Keso, Saging na Saba or CornFlakes.
Serve immediately.
